5-Step Lawn Care Program
Pre-emergence crabgrass and weed control
Early Spring
Applied in March or April for well-balanced fertilization and crabgrass control prior to the ground temperature reaching 55°, after that a reputable provider will tell you honestly that no crabgrass treatment will be effective as the seed has germinated and the only thing that can be done is a spray control application in the Fall to ward off Spring germination.
Weed Control and Fertilization
Late Spring/Early Summer
Applied in May or June for maintaining broadleaf weed control and a well-balanced fertilization. Can be performed together with the 3rd step.
Broadleaf Control Liquid Spray
Late Spring/Early Summer
Applied in May or June for immediate control of many broadleaf weeds including dandelions, chickweed, clover, etc. Can be performed together with the 2nd step.
Weed Control and Fertilization
Early Fall
Applied in August or September for maintaining broadleaf weed control and a well-balanced fertilization.
Winter Fertilization
Applied in October or November to help with root system growth and early green up in the Spring.
